First off I would like to thank those who responded to our emails asking how to improve our service, the few we recieved back helped us find a few problems and got some good suggestions as well.
Made a Change to the max upload size to help some people with larger files. Please try to keep total filesize down. To see how large a file is in Microsoft Windows, right click on the file, select properties. Most image files should be under 500kb, if it is over 1mb then you will want to use an image editing program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, to reduce the image size.
Along the same lines, one thing we are working on is an image resizer. What this program will do is take your image, check the file type and size and try to change the image size and type to reduce the total file size while trying to save quality, this make take awhile. Another thing we are working on is a progress bar on uploaded images. This way you will have a better idea how your upload is progressing. I hope this is finished by the end of this week.

Fixed the Max Image Size, Fixed image types (only jpg,jpeg,gif and png images allowed now). Made a few errors nicer. I think thats all the errors because I think I fixed the other ones.
Realized also after I posted the last update that the MySpace code does not work for comments. I have a work around already done but I need to make a few changes. Hopefully done today if not it will be done next week. DONE

Wow, Alot more people are using this page than I thought after such a short time. Thats good and bad. The good is you get to use a free service and I get a few cents in advertising. The bad is, with so many people using EHostIt, it takes up space and you find the bug in my programs! Don't worry we will fix them as we find them or when you tell us so please let us know if there is a problem. Below are a few problems we know about.
Max Image size. We set the maximum upload to 1MB which is MORE than enough for a couple reasonablly sized photos. The problem is those of you who upload 10 or so and it cuts you off Or those of you who upload images that are not web friendly (like TIFF or BMP Files). So to fix this we are working on rejecting any file that is NOT of jpg,jpeg,gif or png format. By saving your images in these formats you save us space and save your viewers from waiting forever for the picture to download. While this should be enough to fit in the 1MB of space we will still double it to 2MB at a time. Since there are quite a few errored pictures we will be cleaning up the database of ALL images which appear broken. If yours gets caught, we are sorry but feel free to upload yours again, remember its free! Error messages, We also realized that when something does go wrong the error messages are pretty bland and do not tell you what to do with yourself (although we have a few ideas). We will make error messages clearer for you as we find places to put them. Thats it for the major bugs. We do have other things we are working on as well. One of these is a thumbnail generator, Similar to our upload form you just upload the images and our system will resize your images show them to you for preview and then give you an option to download them. Another thing we are working on is a button maker. You see those tags on peoples websites for PHP? When we're finished you will be able to make your own!
We have no time table for these yet but we will be working on them after we fix our current issues.
